If intimacy can be considered the “nutritional value” of sex, does junk sex equate with junk food? Bad sex and good sex have some of the same ingredients (genital contact), but junk sex is “prepared” in the wrong manner, in much the same way as junk food contains some of the same ingredients as good food, just in an unhealthy way or in bad proportions. Junk sex might not make you feel bad right away, but later on you might not feel good about your relationship. Sex is not just about penetration, but atmosphere, much like fine dining.
